Foot-Borne Illness

Cura is dedicated to helping people live healthier lives and the foundation works on initiatives that increase health equity, reduce social disparities and improve the health and well-being of all. Cura aims to make a substantial impact on health, productivity and well-being through footwear for the entire family.
1.5 billion people are infected with foot-borne diseases which could be prevented with proper footwear. Samaritan’s Feet provides shoes to individuals in need to help prevent infections, protect from diseases, provide economic and educational opportunities (by making it possible to attend school and/or work at greater distances), and propel individuals to pursue their dreams. Samaritan’s Feet has served 9.2 million people worldwide in 109 countries to date. A new pair of shoes can protect feet and provide hope and a foundation for a better life. Our target is to reduce foot-borne diseases and promote good health and well-being in low- and middle-income countries by providing shoes to those in need in collaboration with Samaritan’s Feet International.
